Once a metal box factory, 16 Great Guildford Street now plays home to Hixter Bankside, part of the Hix restaurant group. Paying homage to the original space, the design accentuates the natural features of floor to ceiling windows and metal and brick-work. Adorning the walls are neons and hanging art by both renowned and emerging British artists such as; Mat Collishaw, Tracey Emin, Tim Noble and Gary Webb.
The venue is a veritable maze of flexible private dining and event spaces, which complement the main dining room. Hixter Bankside can cater for events from 8 – 300 guests for meetings, drinking, dining and other activities. Their four unique spaces can be hired out separately or in conjunction, and there is also the option for exclusive hire of the venue.
